Bat ready for release 7th May 2021
Hot spell in mid March 2021 may have caused this Soprano Pipistrelle bat to wake up too early, before the insects were around to eat. This bat was found on patio, now recovered (thanks to Abi from the Bat Conservation Trust ) and was released where it was found in May 2021. To prepare for the release Abi kept the bat warm on a hot water bottle. When released the bat flew directly to one of the bat boxes and another bat came out …………...success :-)
Note: If you find a bat, don't touch them with your hands. Put the bat in a box and contact the Bat Conservation Trust .
